Whole-Person Wellness

Healing Is Not Just in Your Head

September 2026 · 4 min read

Many of the women I work with are smart, self-aware, and well-read. They've done therapy. They can name their patterns, their attachment style, their childhood wounds. And they're still stuck.

That used to be me. I understood everything — and my body was still braced for impact.

Here's the blunt truth: insight is not the same as healing. Trauma doesn't live in your thoughts. It lives in your nervous system, your muscles, your gut, your immune system. That's why unprocessed stress shows up as inflammation, weight that won't move, blood sugar that won't stabilize, sleep that won't come. The body keeps the score, whether we like the phrase or not.

This is why my work is whole-person. Mind: yes, we look at the stories you tell yourself. Body: breathwork, somatic movement, Qi Gong, nourishment — practices that teach your nervous system it's safe now. Soul: Reiki, meaning, the quiet remembering of who you actually are.

You can't talk your nervous system out of a state it learned before you had words. But you can breathe it there. You can move it there. You can nourish it there.

If you've done all the insight work and you're still exhausted, you're not broken and you're not failing. You're just missing the body. That's where we start.

If this found you at the right moment, you know where to find me.
